the stars have names
The Lord shares really cool things with us when we listen.
I was struggling with the idea of myself as an artist and so I asked God what it is to create something, what makes it creative, and what sets it apart from other art.
His response was that if it is done in passion, out of divine inspiration, in heart, with meaning, then it's amazing.
Further curious, I asked what makes one thing better than another, & He told me that's like asking which is better, stars or trees? Being an overly analytical person, I immediately thought to myself that stars are far superior. They're massive, complex, fascinating, and we know relatively little about them since they're so incredibly far away in the massive void of space. But yet, trees are ALIVE, and thus infinitely more complex... There's no comparing, both are fabulous, for quite different reasons.
He then told me that all the stars have names. I pointed to a star and asked its name, and He told it to me, I forget it now but it began with the letter Z. I asked the name of our sun and he said "Shenoah". I researched the word and found that in Native American it does mean "A Radiating Presence of Love", or "white dove", both truly amazing representations of the sun as a metaphor for the love of Jesus/the holy spirit.
I have always loved the sky, the stars, space and astronomy. He always knows how to speak to the heart He put in me.

waves
"My voice is like the waves."

rhythmic, consistent, ever-changing, engulfing, big, small, unpredictable, gravitational, drawing in, pushing, pulling, storming, recycling, transparent, opaque, mysterious, full of life, rippling, pulsating, seasonal, strong, soft, enveloping, humbling, a reflection of the sky.
